As smokers turn to electronic cigarettes, doctors question their safety
CHICAGO — The world's biggest seller of tobacco, Altria Group Inc., announced last week that it plans to enter into the electronic cigarette market. E-cigarette sales reached approximately $500 million in 2012 and that number is expected to double in 2013. Companies are marketing the product as safer than cigarettes.
